Midi sync

Hey guys I am new to the forum

I have a pro tools setup (le 6.4)
digi 002
mac g5
korg triton

the problem i am having is that the midi works fine i can cue/record from pro tools, but sometimes i think timeclocks are not sync'd cause it does'nt sound right SOMETIMES. is there a software setting in pro tools for midi clock or even settings for triton. or if any one has the same setup and it working fine can you tell me the settings on both devices. currently i can pass 4 tracks and a lot of my beats are 16+ tracks, so what i am doing is printing 90 bars at a time so i don't hear where its off, but i would love the midi clock to be perfect so i can just print 4 bars and then repeat to my liking.

Sorry for the delay gettin to your post neuk. First thing you will watn to check is to make sure you are setting things up correctly.

I would suggest using the digi as the timing master for the whole set-up. This can be set up in the options/audio portion of PT. Then make sure that the Triton is set as slave, so it gets its mdi timing messages from the digi through the mac.

You may also want to look and see if you can select send midi sync this will allow the Triton to stay rock solid if it doesnt seem to want to ride in time with the normal clock signal.

this sounds like a similar issue that i am having between pro tools 6.4/digi002/mac osx, and line 6 modeler. in protools, i enable midi sync. send it out to midi port and go into line 6. my line 6 will sync up but does get off a little at times. the display on my line 6 will jump around +/- 5bpm. did you get this figured out neuk? I am pulling my hair out here...
