My band has 3 songs up on Soundclick. If you guys could check them out and tell me what you think of the mix and my attempt at mastering I would be grateful.
The songs are
Blood on my Hands
Goodbye
Lost in the Fold.
Thanx ahead of time.

First of all, this is very good home recording. The mix sits okay with everything in its expected place and sounding good. The guitars lack punch and would benefit a little eq at the top end. I feel like the tracks would benefit from some contrast in sound between the verse/bridge/chorus. Having the exact same sounds all the way through doesn't help the tracks come alive, create drive and lift into the chorus.
You might think of your mixes as a good starting point, and experiment in bringing things forward and accenting different sections.
Good all the same.

Dec 02, 2004 12:08 pm Thanx for the reply. I guess when it comes to bringing things up and down in the mix I am a little lazy at times. I hate messing with automation and stuff. But I guess I need to to make the mixes better.
Thanx
