New Guy - 1820M & Cubase SL3 PC Spec?

Hi.
After a long time playing music, I'm finally setting up my own home studio.
I've got an E-MU 1820M sound card, Cubase SL3 and some active monitors on their way to me next week and I'm building my own PC.

Can anyone recommend a good PC Spec for the above components? I was thinking:
- Intel 848 Chipset Motherboard
- P4 3Ghz+ Processor
- 1GB DDR400 RAM
- 120 GB SATA & 200GB SATA Hard Drive
- FX5200 128 MB Graphics Card
- DVR-RW
- XP PRO

Would it be better to go AMD 64 Bit?
Has anyone used AMD 64 Bit successfully with Cubase SL3 and an E-MU 1820M?

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Well to be honest, the 64 bit AMD would be overkill right now as nothing is using its capability at the moment. I use AMD on my newer machine and it is very solid. My older PC is Intell and runs stable as well.

I think the only over kill I see in your specs is the 120 gig system drive, but if ya want it that big then ya sure wont run out of space.
