Got a new song up. This one took way less time and is pretty different from my first. If you could d/l the mp3 and give the mix a critique, that would be great! It's at 192kps so the quality isn't completely atrocious.

Also, The Tincanbug, sorry for not replying to your post on my first song, I was out of town. They are bongo samples from an Alesis drum machine that I borrowed and I arranged them in Fruity Loops. There are actually three samples used; high, medium, and low. I just added a touch of 'verb and that was it.

Very infectious! It's a great song. I love the way it starts out. I like the tempo/rythm change for the "B" part, but it feels a little awkward at times. The guitars sound good. Everything seems to sit well in the mix. Vocals have a good sound, but are a bit flat in a few places (I ought to know...I am an authority on flat vocals!) Perhaps sing a few more takes and see what you get.

Nice job...keep up the good work!

This is not a bad song at all...as Jim says - it starts well and is quite catchy.

There is a funny timing thing going on with the beats there..cant quite catch the rhythm in bits.

The guitars do sound good...Intro is quite cool and the tone of the geetars is good tae. Also as Jim says, the vox are a little flat in bits but also as Jim says, I am also an authority on flat vocals!!

I liked this one better than the first one you posted a while back. Its just a better song overall. Good advice from Jim on the multiple takes - I am a guitarist by heart tho a singer by default. I am gettin into it now but alas, everyone on here is right.

The more vocal takes you get in, the better you get. I am finding I can now listen to my vocals without cringing unlike when I first started singing "properly" a couple of years ago.

So - go for it. Get yer music doon then go for the multiple vox. Try it all different ways and see what you can/cant do. I found changing key for a few songs helped me no end. This was even for songs I WROTE!! Aye - its gid when you write a song thats too hard for YOU to sing :-) ...

Good luck and good work..overall its a good song with some fixes to the vox it will be even better.

All the best

Coco.

Good fun little tune, ya get a little out of key singing sometimes (im hardly ever in myself, thats how i know) and i'd like to hear the bass come through and sustain a little more. so keep doing the Vox- youll hit it. Most folks here dont even tell me anymore im out of key, its par for my course- I think you have a chance! give it a couple more takes.
Thumbs up on the tune though, its still resonating in my head
good job

good track. the mix is a little rough. id probably pull the vox down a bit and has already been stated, theyre also a bit flat, id try out what the people said above, keep re-doing the track over and over til you get what you want out of it.

vox are hard to nail but with work itll come.
keep it up.
