i downloaded the trial version of iZotope ozone.

i just figuring this out.. this is not an app, but a plugin. to use this plugin for mastering, i would first need to bounce all tracks to a single stereo track, then use the plugin?

or do i use the plugin on individual tracks? i'm a little confused. is sound forge and hal bar also plugins?

Ozone is a pluggin, Har-bal is an application that can be used as a pluggin of sorts, and Sound Forge is an all out Audio editing application for sound design, editing and mastering.

You can use any plug on an individual track if you like; Ozone included. Ozone is designed to work best with a mixed down stereo track. Think of it as step two in producing a piece. First mix all tracks to a stereo track then pre master the stereo track with Ozone. Last step is assemble all pre mastered tracks into a CD. This process is considered mastering.

Hope that helps.
