I`m very close to buying my first Large Diaphragm Condensor Mic. I don`t intend to spend more than £130 which limits my options a tad!
I`ve been looking into the Behringer B-1, Studio Projects B-1, Rode NT1 and some cheaper AKG and ADK Models.
Which of these budget Condensors would you advise? I`m mostly going to be recording Acoustic Guitars and Vocals. I also have a Shure SM57.
Thankyou very much :)

I would go with the nt-1. I dont own one, but know people who do, and they are great. I have 2 different Marshalls, the Behringer b-1, and a c-1 S.P., but thatone is a bit higher priced. Almost all the reviews I read site the nt-1 as the comparison for all other affordable Large condensors.

On the other hand, the only one you mentioned there in that price range that has pattern options is the Behringer. This may or may not be a factor for you.

Either way, all of those mics are alot better than what you have now, so you really cant go wrong.

The competition at that price range for quality is so tight right now, there really is not one that is much better than the other.

Good luck!!!
