Line 6 Variax - Input?

Has anybody used one of these little beauties?? I've been looking (I tell the wife that...it means considering/sniffing/investigating!) at these little beauties!

I cant believe how cool it would be to have 25 guitars in 1!! I have a genuine Fender Strat and an Epiphone Les Paul which I love but it would be GREAT to have similar (or better) sounding guitars in 1 body with another 23 including accoustic and sitar!! Cool...

If anyone has used or knows anything aboot these that could sway me to buy/not to buy I'd be greatful for the input.

Also is the only difference between the LINE 6 VARIAX 500 and 700 the finishes and a couple of extra wee bits and bobs? I dont have any digital in using my S/Card (delta 44) - could I still use this little baby?

Cheers....

Coco.

I did get to try the 700 model, its playability is much better then the other models, but its price is much greater as well. Not that much but it is more money. The sounds were great as well, the acuastic sound is spot on as was the twang of a Tele and the chug of an SG. I didnt get a real long test run on it, but in the short time it impressed me greatly. Not enough to run out and buy it, as I allready have Frankenstien which is my wonderfull studio ax so I really dont have the need. But for others I can see it as being a great one size fits all guitar.

I've only used an older Version 2 POD. Great DI box for the Getfiddle. Even, full, articulate sound. The modeling sets are very nice for the time as well. Foxy little unit!

Aye..it looks impressive!

The finishes are superior on the 700 and I think there's a tremelo on there as well.

I do have the gen Fender Strat anyway and an Epi Les Paul but I would love this little beauty for all the different models I'd have!

I may nip doon the local music shop and give it a try!

Thanks for yer input guys...

Cheers...
