MIDI Interface

hey all, i just bought a miditech 49 studio keyboard and i found that it only has one midi out socket. if i purchase the USB MIDIsport 2x2 MIDI Interface would that give me more flexablility. i know this i probly a dumb question but im new at this...

If you are pluggin it into the PC midi input you should only need one midi out. I assume you bought it to control softsynths and the like? You may want a midi interface if you are running any external synths. Let me know what exactly you want to do with it and Ill cook ya up a good battle plan. but I think you will be just fine as is.

hey, sorry i took so long to reply. basically i have the cable that hooks into the joystick port and an midi out. my goal is to record some keyboard parts like radiohead stuff. iwas wondering if i could?

Well as long as you are playing softsynths in the PC or you have one or two external synths the you should be fine. The only time you will need an interface is if you plan on running several outboard synths, and controlling them with the keyboard you have. But for what you want to do you should be OK.
