I got an old (70's) randall,25watt greenbacks, and I swear its the sound.The rythm guy in my band has a JCM900, and compared to my randall its thin and too bright.I use a melody maker and an sg.I get that mesa boogie rectified sound,with out all the noise.Its got this power soak where you pull out the treble controll and its a thirty watt that records very nicely.The biggest advantage I have found is it seems to be more able to get the tone I want in differant rooms, we gig alot,sometimes the marshall sounds better then othertimes.However the randall allways sounds fat.**** I sound like a salesman
