TDK MA-XG or Maxell Metal Vertex cassette's?

Of these two Top Of The Line cassette's Maxell Metal Vertex and TDK MA-XG which is the better tape?I have a chance to buy one or the other but i have never used either,so which one would be the better choice to spend my money on without being able to audition either?My deck is a TEAC V8030S 3head unit with calibration facilities (Test tones)to set bias and sensitivity..The manual does not recommend a paticular brand..Thanks for any opinnions..Keith H.Peace.
