Hey everyone, I hope someone can help me here. I am loosing my mind trying to figure this out.

I use Sony Acid Pro 7 for my DAWS on a Windows XP Machine. I use Toon Track EZ drummer and Superior Drummer 2.0 for my drum tracks. Line 6 UX8 for my interface.

I am looking to upgrade to Windows 7, and figured if I am going to go through the time consuming headache of installing all my software again, I might as well make the jump to 64bit Windows 7.

I just bought a brand new Sony Viao laptop running Windows 7 64bit. So I figured I would give everything a try on the laptop first since it already had the OS on it. I was able to get all my major hardware and software to work on it. Except for EZ Drummer.

I got EZdrummer to install, it is just Acid can't find it.

On Windows XP, all my VST plug ins are installed in the VST folder. But on my lap top with WIndows 7 64bit, they seem to be installed in a Steinberg folder. I don't know why, because I don't have anything Steinberg related installed on my laptop as far as I know.

In Acid, in order to load EZdrummer or SD 2.0 on my xp machine, I click on 'add a soft synth'. In the box that pops up, there are 2 soft synths listed. The built in one from Sony with your standard on screen keys with standard voices like pianos, strings, ect, and then there is the Toon track soft synth.

On my laptop with Windows 7, there is only the Sony one. The toon track one is not listed. And the only thing Acid will look for is a .dls file. But EZ drummer is a VST plugin that shows up in the Soft synth portion of Acid.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this? All my Waves plug ins and what not installed all the same as they did on my XP machine, and they all load and work fine like normal. This Toon track stuff is the ONLY thing stopping me from upgrading the PC.

Thanks in advance.

Ok, I figured it out... I cut the VST folder out of the Steinburg folder and pasted it into the programs (x86) folder. Sony loaded everything right up.
