Problem with Cooledit 2.1 help!

i cant hear audio in my edit view, ive changed Wave out in device properties and everything and i stillll dont got sound... its really annoying
AND Pan Expand ,Channel Mixer, Sterio feild rotate effects arent highlighted in Editview and i really need to use pan expand

ive reinstalled cooledit, it just makes no difference , please help
