Help! ASIO drivers and Ableton 8

Hey,
I have been using Ableton Live 8 on my laptop (vista) with asio4all v2 (2.8) for ages, until today when i tried to update to asio 2.9. this didnt work, and i cant get any sound out of ableton anymore, even after doing away with 2.9 and re installing 2.8. I can get the test tone, but there is no sound coming out of my ableton tracks, despite the master track showing audio. I am using my laptops soundcard (SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC). Any ideas?

Did you go back in and set the audio options in Ableton to use the Sigma Tel again?

Often times after a driver change especially dealing with generic drivers for generic built in sound cards you will loose the drive link in the application.

From what I have read it is more the fault of Vista but can also be blamed on the third party driver data.
