Hi...my first post here. Hoping to pick someone's brain..Mine doesnt process this stuff very well, and the search function doesnt turn up anything.
I am wanting to trigger the handsonic10 sounds w. the Alesis Control pad. I can get these to do this, but only some of the Alesis pads will play the sounds. I'm not using my laptop in this instance
My other question: I cant get enough volume when Triggering sounds on the Control Pad via BFD Lite using ASIO4ALL driver..plenty of volume for other apps in my laptop and I have all the volume controls cranked up
Thanks

Figured out how to map the Handsonic sounds to the pads of the Alesis Control Pad....This is a great combo I think for a number of reasons.
If someone has help about my low volume issue, that would be great.

May 09, 2009 09:39 pm The volume issue may be a velocity thing. There should be an adjustment for the velocity curve of the Alesis unit. It may be set so it take a really hard hit to trigger full velocity. You can set the velocity to a shallower curve which will allow it to trigger with more volume with a softer hit.
As well there should be a setting in BFD lite as well to allow adjusting of the volume of the pad and the velocity. Go in BFD and set the volume of the sample up a bit if it is needed.
May 11, 2009 12:28 pm Thanks...that is what I have done. Unfortunately, to get enough volume by changing the velocity to trigger max sound, i've lost all the nuance/dynamics..everything just plays at one sound level..
There is a software 'Dynamics' setting for each drum. The dynamics goes from -127 to +127 and is preset at 0. Unfortunately that feature is grayed out <not available> in the BFD Lite that came w. the Alesis. Seems to me that if i could crank that level up, I could get significantly more volume out of it as needed, but softer hots would appropriately play

May 11, 2009 09:34 pm So is BFD lite allowing you to load your own drum samples? If so the try dropping the samples into a wav editor and see if you can increase the volume there. Then drag it into BFD and see what happens.
I am wondering then as well if that portion being grayed out is what is causing the issue and not letting you get a full volume out of the sample.
