I just upgraded from a 3.0 gHz single core rig with 1 GB of memory and a Delta 1010lt to this nasty set of goodness. Unfortunately I don't know my *** from my ears about ProTools, so I just enrolled in Berkleemusic.com's studio producer pro certification. I'll let you guys know how it goes after a couple months...

Also, I just posted a song and I would love critique from you guys. I'm envious of your knowledge and hope to soak it up ASAP. The track's titled "Rainbow Elephants"

Nice stuff for sure. Working with it will be the best learning tool you'll have really.

On the tune, I thought it was pretty cool. A different kind of feel to it. A pinch of pop, funk, rock, cool harmonies that reminded me of something from the 80's and those interesting little guitar tweak hooks.

I like the way it was arranged for sure, it kept it moving and interesting all the way through.
