If you are having problems recording into Acid Pro 7, via Microphone, Guitar, or any other outside source. You may notice your finished .wav file has disappeared after you are done recording. There is a strange compatibility flaw between Acid pro and Kaspersky internet protection.

Disable Kaspersky's real time protection and your wav files should appear as normal after you record from an outside source.

It may even be possible to set a rule for Acid through Kaspersky. I havent tried that yet.

But as for now Kaspersky users should be immediately aware of this. I unfortunately didnt figure it out until i reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled everything starting with Windows Vista Ultimate 64, Sony Acid Pro 7, and finally Kaspersky. The insubordinate culprit! There may be other compatibility issues with other security problems but haven't come across any yet.

Someone on another blog also brought to my attention that it might of been a memory problem. Turning off other applications including ones in the background. But i have been using acid for years while at some points running 2 different photoshop programs and recording the screen with programs like camtasia, all at the same time with no problems what so ever. So i know its not a memory problem.

I hope this helps anyone with the similar problem. I know it drove me crazy for a couple days trying to figure it.
