Hello there, i'm in the market for a new mic. i'm new to recording on my own. i've been recording with my shure sm58, but my voice is very milky and it comes out muffled. anyone know of a good & affordable mic for female vocals that can bring out a sharper sound, but not too crisp? I have no great studio setup, so a versatile mic would be nice. I've been hearing good things about the AKG Perception 200...
Any help would be appreciated :)

Feb 05, 2009 09:08 pm You might be better served by the audio Technica AT3035. It is a good mic in that midget range. I have a pair of them and use them at times on female vox with good luck.
It is a good all around mic that can serve multiple uses.
You can see it here. www.zzounds.com...item--AUTAT3035
