Just in case you come back and catch this RockWood.

On the HH pedal cable make certain you are using a TRS cable. That will take care of that issue.

Sorry for the delete, but we figured most of it out and it was shortly after we posted the issues.

For some reason, the driver for my midi interface was whacked, and reinstalling it fixed that issue.

As for the hihat, we jimmy rigged it... apparently, the snake cables that came with my Yamaha kit are a little different as far as whats needed for the hi hat. Leaving the cable half plugged in fixed the issue for now.

Now, we are just having some issues with the triggers doubling triggering and what not... basic e-drum garbage without a 3,000 Roland made kit. And my drummer's playing isn't up to standard due to lack of practice we've had. We're getting there though. Be on the look out for a new thread for help as we start working on this metal cd of ours.

YOu can adjust the sensitivity in the DM5 if you are still using that. And there is a setting as well to help avoid false trigger's as well.
