Help - USB interface solution for a Mackie Mixer

Hi, this is my first post at this impressive forum, I need some advice on the best way to record from a Mackie CFX12 mixer to a USB input in a PC notebook. I've been looking at the TASCAM US-144 and Roland UA-1EX. Does these provide a reasonable sound quality? Are there better ones?

Thanks

Yes, those are both going to give reasonable sound quality.

Better ones? Yes, but the cost will go up on them as well.

What kind of budget did you have in mind?

I've been using a us122 (older one) for quite a while, and it's been quite nice. I don't have high end gear, so it's fit the bill quite nicely.

I suppose an RME device would be much better, but I'm not sure I'd notice, as I have some consumer / mid-end gear.

Plus, like Noize said, the price goes up, and will you hear the difference?
