Well I finally got the vocals working and everything seems to be in order. Now I just need to figure out how I can talk to someone that's in the booth. I've seen some headphone amps that promise this feat, but they only have like 2 phones jacks. Any advice?

Dec 10, 2008 06:20 pm If you have a free channel on your mixer, just plug in a mic. Use the same signal routing as their mic or instrument and talk to them. Make sure you turn it down/off during takes.

Dec 10, 2008 06:31 pm Exactly as stated, I do this for vocal takes. I plug in a mic in the control room, route it through the same outs as the singer and simply mute\unmute when we need to chat.
