ASIO ins and outs in cubase

Hi guys,

I am using cubase SX3 and have the following setup :

1. Line 6 Pod XT live connected via USB. This appears as a sound device in XP and and be selected as a VST input.

2. Edirol UA25 external soundcard box. This is then connected to a pair of Yamaha monitors.

Rather than connecting the outputs of the Pod effects box to the inputs of the edirol UA25 soundcard, I would like to utilise the direct (and existing) connection via usb to set that as the recording input in cubase...BUT I would like to have the edirol UA25 set as the playback device, as this is what is connected to my monitors.

Any way of doing this or am I doomed to a life of cables, cable changes and hum ?

Thanks

Most application's will only handle one ASIO device at a time. Although I have seen a couple of instances that did allow a separate playback ASIO device. My suggestion is to give it a shot. If Cubase will allow you to have both drivers loaded. You simply need to specify the Line 6 as the input and the Edirol as the output on each channel you need it on.
