Hi guys, pretty new to recording and would appreciate any help with this matter..

I'm using a Lexicon Lambda into Abode Audition and using the Lexicon as my in and out. When I record, for some reason the playback (metrognome and other tracks) is also being recorded onto the recording track...

It's very annoying and I need help on how to fix this plz!!

The Lambda should have a software control panel that has some routing function's you can switch around. I would first guess that it is routing the output directly back to the input.

My other thought is if you are using a mixer and sending the outputs to that and then recording from the main outs of the mixer, that will send the playback right back to the input of the Lambda.

Hmm.. I don't think there is a software control panel, atleast I didn't see one on the Lexicon website =/

I'm not using a mixer, only Mic to Lexicon to computer.

Is there any other way to switch the routing?

OK, I scanned the manual for it and didn't really see any hardware switching that would do that.

I'll ask how you are monitoring the sound that you are hearing on playback?

But my guess is it is a routing issue in Audition that is doing it. You might be sending the playback tracks to the input rather then the output via USB.

Or if you are using you onboard sound card for monitoring through the PC you may have the What you hear switch enabled in the windows audio control panel.

I'm monitoring using the Lexicon's monitor ear phone jack input.

I tried using cubis with the same results.. In audition I'm selecting Lexicon as both my in/output.. any idea how I can change the routing within audition?
