You need to use them as insert effects in order to use more then one at a time.
I haven't used one personally but I remember someone else having this issue and that was the problem.

I have done it before, but can't get back! I can't get it to allow me to add two effcts to one input. The option is there meaning I can select two effects but only one of them works. On the IN>EFFECT>CHAN RETURN screen, it will only let me assign IN1 in the first box. The secound box will not let me assign IN1 to the same channel.
