How do you Stop Distortion and Clipping

Hey, you know when you listen to a song and you turn the volume all the way up and it pretty much raises the volume but it will only go so far so that it doesn't distort. How do you do that? so that when you export a song you can turn it up on some speakers and it doest distort...

Watch your recording level meters. With digital recording, don't hit 0 dB or higher because distortion comes on VERY quickly. Leave a little breathing space under that mark.

i hope so, i gotta try it out.. So you say that for the master fader keep that under 0, and dont let it hit red and it will solve it?

Keep your recording level meters under zero. Your fader may or may not correlate.

Yep, red is a bad thing.
