The two signals are both in the same carrier, so your interface should know that they're separate. You should see the input as 2 channels in your software.

If I take the coaxial digital output of my tascam 788 8-track and put it into a coaxial input on an interface going into the computer-----can I record two tracks seperately at the same time (L&R)? What comes out of the output and what does the input get/seperate?

Mar 04, 2008 05:12 pm As long as both are spdif connections you should be able to use them as a two track i/o.
