hey i just bought a rocktron chameleon on sale...and i love it
and i see that i has a midi input and output
can i play guitar and record it in midi?
and if yes,how i do that?

Mar 02, 2008 11:32 am I'm pretty sure that is for controlling the device, like with a foot midi controller.
This way you can press a switch, and the rocktron changes patches.

Mar 02, 2008 11:34 am yeah i thougth that too ...thats why i didnt pay attention for a long time..but i hear from i friend tha he recorder with the rocktron prophesy in a studio here in athens and he recorded in midi,,

Mar 02, 2008 04:17 pm hmm, looking through a few online descriptions, i didn't see anything indicating midi-pickup or guitar->midi stuff.
I didn't look real hard, though, so I may have missed it.
I guess a read through the manual may help.
Hopefully someone else on here has one, and can help out.

Mar 07, 2008 06:18 pm Nope, none of the Rocktron stuff can record midi played through a guitar. The midi implementation on the Rocktron units is for control and sending control data only, and for patch/bank change as pjk stated.
