I can record then listen to it (only if the Alesis i0/14 interface ASIO is switched to built in audio) If I want to say listen to a guitar track on 1 and record a vocal on 2, it cannot be done. It seems the only way to record is one way and the only way to listen is the other. i spoke with Alesis and they said it way a problem with Leopard. Does anyone else have any other ideas on what might be done??? Thanks

How are you trying to listen to the playback? It should be easily set up by simply assigning the output of the track to the Alesis and then using either the main outputs or the headphone out of the Alesis.

The only way I can listen is if I switch the driver to built in audio and then through the headphone out on the computer, otherwise any and every configuration I've tried, doesn't seem to work. I can see the audio levels move, but cant get sound when I'm in the interface. I cant get any sound out of the interface to hear, just running in.

Sounds like the same problems my Mom and step dad are having with Windows Vista and the new WaveRT drivers.

In Cubase there should be an option for which drivers you want to use for your inputs and outputs respectively, and it should change drivers or 'share' so to speak respectively. If you cant find this option, let post a reply and I'll install my copy of Cubase LE on my Mac at work and see if I can find out whats goin on for ya.

K, I'll try it tomorrow at work.

In the mean time, have you updated Leopard to 10.5.1? Here's the link. www.apple.com/support/dow...1051update.html

I did a little research and found that other users had the same issue and the update fixed it. Give it a try and I'll see what the deal is tomorrow on my Mac at the office.
