Newbie needing help

I work at a church as a computer technician, as also moon light as one of the choir members. When one of the other choir members discovered the glory of "Garage Band" on their new computer they asked me if it would be possible to record the choir on the computer. So far I have been able to record all the music using my keyboard and a midi cord (on garage band), buy I am having difficulty on how I would effectively record drums and vocals. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The church has a 16 channel mixing board which is connected to an amp, and a couple of mic if that makes a difference. Thank you in advance!

Hey there, sorry no one has gotten to you yet.

First I'll ask a couple of question's.

What type of mic's or model are they and how many?

What is the brand and model of the mixer as well?

That will help sort out if you can record direct from it or will have to find another way to get audio to the PC for recording.

Odds are good we can help find a way to use what you have though.
