EM-U PX7, Acoustic drums and triggers

I've been using a PX7 to do all of my drum parts and even though it's a great machine with great drum sounds I'm tired if it's monochromatic "perfection". I want to get back to acoustic playing with some color and personality. I've been looking at how the DDrum triggers work with the acoustics but I'm confused on how to hook them up. Is there a way to bring the trigger signal into the PX7? I want to be able to choose which drum sounds I want to record. I hope this made sense 'cause I'm lost!
Thanks – M

Yep, the D'Drum triggers simply hook into the trigger inputs of any drum synth'sampler out there. I have used them with my DM4 and DM5 from Alesis as well as the Roland TD series brains. Your PX should be the same.

You simply hook the transducer onto the acoustic drum head/rim and then run the cable to your drum brain/ PX7 and then you can record the midi note data and choose to use either the acoustic sounds, the PX sounds or a combination of both.

I personally use Roland drums myself and love the feel and articulation of them. Very responsive and controllable.
