Several N00b pick-up questionss

ok.
Starting with:
As far as minimizing hum, in an H-S-H config.should the single be rw/rp, or are the H's already pretty much cancelling the shnikey's out of that mofo?

And if yeah, it should reversed, what effects (if any) would that have on like. the tonal characteristics of that pup? Actually, feel free to completely ignore this question.

And one last one:

What guitar and what is the switch configuration that is being used on it? Does the single function on its own or in tandem with one of the humbuckers?

AS well, single or multiple volume or tone knobs, and how are they wired?

five-way toggle, one volume two tone.

its not actually wired yet
me and my brother are going to have a hell of a time figuring this one out. my very first d.i.y. pickup installation

the h's are single sized you know. A JB Jr. and a coolrails.

If the pick ups can be wired for coil tap I suggest doing that. My customized Ibanez is an H S H set up with the S being replaced with a custom wound DiMarzio Fast Trac II and that is also wired for coil tap. That way I can switch all the pick ups through 3 stages, Hum, Single or Parallel. It works a treat and I highly recommend it.
