Which Phonic mixing board are you using?
As far as assigning tracks, I strongly advice take the tutorials within the program. If we tell you, it'll take just as much time and you probably wont learn as from it. If you've already taken them and still have an issue, then we can defiantly help you from there, but if this is the program you plan on using, it's good practice to learn it the hard way, simply because you'll embed it in your brain :) (Take it from me, I've learned 5 new DAWs in the last 4 months!!)
We're here to help, so keep shooting questions and we'll keep firing back:)

Dec 30, 2007 01:51 am Oh, cool. Yeah, I'm no expert on firewire or mixing boards, but you should be able to assign inputs for each channel with no problems at all. I use Sonar 7 and a Tascam US-144 with 4 inputs. For my configuration, I simply right click the track, go to my input source, pick which one of the inputs I'm using at the time, and start recording. I'm not too learned on garage band, but it should be somewhat along those lines. So yes, it's possible. Nice mixer by the way.
To further help us in the future, may I suggest filling out your profile? It takes a couple seconds, and can make a world of difference :)

Dec 30, 2007 02:04 pm Yep, that mixer if it does what it ways in the add will send 10 channels to the PC for recording and the return 2 channels to the mixer which you can then monitor. Not sure if anyone here is using it with GarageBand but I am sure it should work the same.
And there are a few user's here using the Phonic firewire mixers as well as a few using GarageBand.
