Hello friends,

I have a soundcard Delta1010LT and i've a doubt about a conection of a mic using the RCA in. Not for recording, there's an apropriate way on the Delta for doing this, but to put a mic to talk by Skype.

With my old an original soundcard there were no problem, but with Delta1010LT it didnt work. The plug of these mics normaly are the little ones, i had to get one extensor cable that is coming out from the RCA Delta, and one adaptor in the other extremity so i could plug it on the mic.

I've checked de audio mic on the "control panel" of my computer, checked the Skype config (everything was ok) and connections (3in and 4in), didnt work. I apreciate if someone could give me a litle help.

Thanks to you all.

I think the problem here is that you would need a pre-amp in front of the 1010LT or you would have to use one of the 2 built-in 1010LT pre-amp channels.

Ya, and the RCA connection is actually a digital connection known as s/pdif. It wont accept an analog input of any kind at all.

mmmm, actually I thought all the 1010LT I/O's were RCA except for 2 which are SPDIF and 2 XLR with pre-amps??

Yep, RCA analog in, 6 of them.

The digi i/o are on the smaller cable bundle.

What BH said, you'll need a preamp of some sort. Use an external preamp, or use one of the xlr inputs (these have preamp built-in).

My bad, I keep forgetting that it is total RCA on that thing.

Hello people,

Now i get it. If i don't use the inputs that already have pre-amp built in(like the xlr), i need an external pre-amp.

Thank you all my friends, my doubts about this were all answered.
