I am using a phantom keyboard, an mpc 2000xl sequencer and a triton rack. I will be using of course the keyboard as the controller. I got the keyboard syncd with the mpc. How should I connect the Triton rack so that I can controll it with the Phanton keyboard? Help, producer down Help producer down!

Oct 21, 2007 07:35 pm You can simply use the midi through on the mpc to send the midi notes on to the Triton. Just remember that you will want to set the receive channel on the mpc to a channel that the Triton will not be using. Like if you are doing drums only on the mpc, then set it for channel 10 and then the Triton will use the rest of them.

Oct 21, 2007 08:08 pm No, you cannot use the through on the phantom as the Triton will need to see the midi output from the phantom. I suggest just doing a complete daisy chain then.
Phantom midi out to mpc midi in, mpc midi out to Triton midi in, Triton midi out to Phantom midi in. And you actually may not need to run the midi out back to the phantom in unless you plan on controlling anything on the phantom with the mpc or Triton.
