I am using Sonar 6 SE for midi and audio recordings and manipulation as well.
But it seems no people use Sonar for audio recording. Why? Because of the audio quality? Please tell me whether I should use another audio recording program... :)

Oct 20, 2007 08:59 pm Sonar is the most popular package on the PC right now without a doubt. Why do you think no one is using it, at least 50% of the people I know are using Sonar.
Oct 20, 2007 08:59 pm No people use Sonar? Eh?
Plenty of people use Sonar around here.
There is essentially no difference in audio quality among good recording applications, whether they be Cakewalk, Pro Tools, Adobe or the rest. The quality comes down to how you record the sounds and how you adjust certain system settings.
I use Adobe Audition. It rocks hard.

But I will repeat it here. I have used Cakewalk from the Pro Audio days to now using Sonar 7 PE and I have never been told my productions are not professional sounding. And I do a lot of business in the professional audio world. I have also done many studio set ups for others and they as well use Sonar and the like.
