Why always protools?

Why there are so many studios use protools? Any advantage?

Few of them use Logic,
but I use Sonar. Is it not popular for a "Serious production", that means not "professional" enough?

You've asked the same question twice.

Pro Tools used to be main player, but many professional studios use other products now. Pro Tools remains common because it's easy to move files from one pro-tools studio to another.

Yep. PT used to be the main computer software for studio's to use in days gone by. And I do mean days gone by!

With the audio interfaces available now and the upgrades that the software makers have done, especially Cakewalk with Sonar 7 PE. That PT age is fading away slow but sure. I have always found a way to work here in Sonar and even back to the old Cakewalk Pro Audio days and still get my track to work in other studio's when needed. So that has never been an excuse in my book.

If you have not looked at Sonar 7 PE I suggest you take a gander. It now has passed what PT is as far as a highly usable and full on Professional studio software package.

I have worked professionally with Cakewalk product for years and no one ever told me they would pay me less money because I didn't have PT. So enjoy your Sonar 5 and realize that tons of studio's were and maybe still are using it out there with professional results.
