I just added a song of mine called Join Us to the members music section. Please listen and critique. I rarely have an opportunity to have other musicians' input. Thanks.:)

Oct 02, 2007 01:26 pm I will have a listen tonight later or tomorrow night.
Oct 02, 2007 03:25 pm I really enjoyed this. Has a lot of interesting elements to it. I'm listening in headphones, good ones, so I can't really judge the mix... But it sounds pretty awesome... Much better stereophonic field through headphones anyway... Which, by the way, I think could be more defined. It gets a little muddy with everything towards the end. It's still a really fun ride... Enjoyed the listen! Tell me what equipment and software you're using...

Oct 02, 2007 10:43 pm I had a rather quiet listen tonight. I will admit that there are some interesting things going on in there. I must as well ask as DungBeatle did what you were using. It sounds like a lot of loop based things going on as well. A bit of industrial mixed with electronic bits and bobs. Then the odd synth pads going on as well. I will have to give it a better listen a bit louder tomorrow though.

Oct 03, 2007 02:56 am Made entirely in Audition on a Pentium 2 computer mixed with a $20 pair of sony headphones. :) Right after the last time I got out of the crazy house. I had no instruments, so I sampled from Merzbow, Autechre, The Crystal Method, Sleep Chamber, Sudden Infant, Slayer, and White Zombie, maybe some others. I will never be able to put it on an album unless my lawyer can work some magic.

Oct 03, 2007 05:50 pm So there are no software synths in there at all? It is entirely made up of samples that are looped up? I recognize some of it but you must have twisted some up as well from the original sound.

Oct 03, 2007 09:10 pm No synths, just a lot of wave editing. What did you recognise? I'm curious. I am still hoping somewhere in the back of my mind that I can put this on a CD. The only software I had at that time was Audition 1.5. I am pretty new to digital creation.
