After digesting everyone's comments on the original (The dream is over (Supper's Ready),
I decided to do a whole new remix and did some additional tracking. To differentiate it,
I've entitled it "The Dream is Over..." I've taken out the "Supper's Ready" as many people have suggested (to not be confused with the Genesis song). I've left the original version (vinyl intro) in case you want to compare with the new. Let me know what you think. I greatly appreciate everyone lending me their ears on the original.

Sep 10, 2007 05:38 pm Sorry for the delay in getting to this. I still had the originals saved. Man what a difference. This new version is sounding so much fuller and clearer. Even the intro has changed sound wise. Dude, I love the sounds and tones you used for this. I liked it the way it was, but this new mix is killer. I really liked some of those wicked bass parts. Was that a synth bass or just a tweaked out regular bass? Either way it sounds great. And the vocals, well that is another story on its own. I loved the guitars as well. You really have this put together well. All the changes fit into a very interesting piece of music. From soothing to Chaos and back again.
Well worth the listen, more then once I might add. You have got some killer material on your hands with this one for sure.
Sep 14, 2007 12:44 am Thanks. This is really what I value, an opinion from someone who has heard the original. I appreciate your comments and encouraging words. As far as the bass, it was midi using Alembic bass samples. Of course I tweaked it a lot and ended up having 2 tracks simultaneously but both very different. I'm still kind of new at this (recording) but I've learned quite a lot from my last two songs so I knew
I could make this song a lot better.
