Hi, i have a Tascam 424mkIII and i was wondering if anybody could tell me what the tape cue function does on it. i have only had it about a month and am really new at it, so if anybody could offer some insight, thanks.

May 01, 2007 08:28 pm Switching the tape cue on will allow you to hear the already recorded tracks in the headphones without them being recorded again on the next track you record. You want to make sure the switch is set to tape cue for each track that you don't want re-recorded onto another track.
May 01, 2007 10:48 pm Thanks man. So how do you set the tape cue for each seperate track? there's only one tape cue switch, so would i just switch it to tape cue while i'm recording? thanks again, I'm a friggin' newbie.

May 02, 2007 10:25 pm Yep, its that simple. Then your track controls will control the amount of each track you hear in the mix. So if you want to hear more bass simply turn it up a tad on the track its on.
