I'm lookin to thicken up my vocal tracks a little and was wondering if anybody had any experience with plugs that can accomplish this. I really like the Eventide units but obviously I’m that at the stage of spending 4K on an effects processor. I got car parts to buy. I have the Waves diamond bundle that I bought a few years ago. Is there anything in there that anybody knows of? Thanks

Apr 22, 2007 08:02 am Theres a plugin called Waves Ultrapitch. It pretty much sounds the same as pitch shifting, delaying and slightly EQing vocals. Pretty average.
Also the antares vocal kit or something has these 'Choir' and 'Duo' plug ins that are great for big wide BV's.
I had a go on a classic ultra harmonizer once. All I could get the vocals to do was warble jump all over the place :-).

From the site:'Harmonisator is a plugin that "harmonizes"
an audio stream according to MIDI notes.
You feed audio into the plugin, hold down a
chord on your keyboard and the audio data
is duplicated and pitched according to the
chord.
It is definitely not a high-class harmonizing
algorithm, but useful for creating choirs
quickly or for manipulating drum loops
in strange ways'
Descriptions for the rest of the plugins in the ZIP:

Hope it helps..
Cheers!
