Can anyone tell me please how I would go about setting up my analog mixing desk to be able to multitrack record into Cubase? I have a Behringer Xenyx1204 8 channel mixing desk, connected to my laptop via a Behringer U-Control UCA200 usb device. I also have a Behringer FCA202 external soundcard. So far I've not been able to get any audio signal into my laptop from the desk via the U-Control UCA200 device that came with the desk. I imagine that I'll have to connect through a usb port to be able to multitrack record, but at the moment can't get this to work. The only way I've been succesful in recording using this equipment so far is by running jack leads from the control room left and right outputs on the desk into the left and right inputs on my FCA202 external soundcard. This method doesn't allow me to record more than one channel at a time though. Anybody got any suggestions?
