KILLER LATENCY!!!

ive connected my mixer directly to the sound card on my computer but im getting some KILLER LATENCY!! when i record, my tracks are all a couple of milliseconds apart. [it makes everything so jumbled and off] WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?!?

Software and gear being used please. It helps tremendously when diagnosing issues.

Bmonkey, its probably the soundcard (I'm
going by what you wrote in the other post--
check it out). Those digital-to-analog and
analog-to-digital converters in every card are
the most important thing going in and out, and
you generally get what you pay for.

Reducing the latency buffer will help cure that. Also you might look at what drivers you are using, WDM and ASIO are preferred for reduced latency.
