Is it necessary to use a direct box with acoustic guitar , korg keyboard , and electric bass on my oo2 rack? if so , inputs 5-8 on digi rack?

Feb 20, 2007 08:30 pm For the acoustic guitar I would use a line in if it has an onboard pre amp built into the guitar. Otherwise use a pre amped input. The bass, you can use a pre amped line input or a direct box between the bass and the 002.
For the Korg you can just use the line inputs.

Feb 21, 2007 02:37 pm THE BAND I'M RECORDING WANTS TO GO LIVE.
1-4 INPUTS I USE LOWZ FOR DRUMS MICS.
5-6 USUALLY TS TIP CABLE. FOR BASS AND KEYS I WAS THINKING ABOUT USING A RACK MOUNT DI THEN GOING TO A RACK LINE MIXER WITH INDIVIDUAL OUTS TO 5-6 .
7-8 WILL BE MIC'D AMPS AND SINCE THERE IS NO INPUT VOLUME CONTROL LIKE 1-4 INPUTS, CONTROLLING INPUTS WITH LINE MIXER.
IS THIS CORRECT? OR DID I JUST CONFUSE THE CRAP OUT OF YOU!
