Honest opinion. PT use of ReWire is crap. But here are your choices. You can set up your track with Acid on it as an insert, which you probably have already done. Then you need to route that tracks output through an internal buss in PT and thjen finally send it to another audio track that is armed to record. The reason this has to be done this way is the Digidesign doesn't really do ReWire at all. It simply is doing the same thing as inserting a pluggin in. So first off your wasting CPU power and secondly your spending twice as much time setting up tracks to record a simple software synth that any other application will do in one shot with ReWire.

Your second option is to simply export your Acid audio as a wav file and import it back into PT. Either way it is a PITA to have to do but that is the nature of this all consuming all Pro beasat called Pro Tools.

Sorry for the rant. I just don't understand what people see in the program honestly. What takes them an hour to set up and do I have done in ten minutes.
