Once again having some issues....probably some thing simple but I can't figure it out. I have my Triton running into my soundcard. While recording in Pro Tools the notes and music I am playing on the triton sound loud and clear. However when I play it back it sounds quiet and muffled. About half as loud as when I originally played it. Does anyone know why this is happening? Also after it is recorded I go to normalize it using audio suite in pro tools because it is to quiet. However when I try to apply the effect I click preview and it doesnt play anything. I then click process to add the effect to the audio and it runs through like it is adding it, but when I play it back the effect has not been added and the audio sounds the same. Any suggestions?

Any help would be appreciated, this is really frustrating me.

Thanks for your help.

One thing I suggest is to go into the Delta control panel and turn up the input sliders and check to see that your master output is turned up as well. By default they are set pretty low. I would as well double check after you have armed a track or tracks in PT to record the Triton that the channel input level in PT is turned up as well. You should be able to monitor the meters in PT without actually recording while it is simply armed. You will want to make sure they are coming in around -6 to -3 dB. Or about the middle of the yellow portion of the meter.

I am assuming you are using the PT LE that came with the Delta. It may be limited in its functionality but I would assume Normalizing should be fully functional. I would check to make sure you are setting the level of the normalize function up to say -3 dB and that should do it. Most normalize pluggins will not do anything unless you tell it how far to normalize to.

Thanks for the help. My meters are all up and it sounds perfectly fine when recording the triton, just on play back the volume decreases. Is there a setting that is causing this?

Also I do set the normalization to -3 but it seems like it isnt reading the effect and wont apply it. It says it has applied it but it doesnt actually normalize the audio to -3.

Maybe try setting it for a bit higher. Try +3 dB and see if that will give you any change.
