Just curious what you guys/gals think of the Bose PAS system. We currently are running two double bass systems in our 3 piece band.
The sound these things put out is amazing for their size.Reading on the internet ther is some reliability issues?
Just curious on your opinions

I think the reliability issues were occuring during the initial release, not possative on that though. I have heard them but not used one as of yet. I know they sound amazing, and the couple systems I have asked users about seem to be running fairly well for them. It is a pretty substantial initial cost layout as well.

There may be others here with more experiance with them, but I cant say for certain. Most live players here still rely on the old style PA systems or portable.

I was in a band that used 2 PAS, and 2 subs. It worked pretty well for us. Pretty impressive sound, and easy to carry =). We were gigging for most of a year, and practicing pretty much each week (using the PAS systems) and didn't have any trouble. We ran a mackie 16 board in front of it, so we could tailor our sound before it hit the BOSE amps.

We did all use our own amps, so pretty much the bose system was for vocals PA, though me and the other git player did plug into it as secondary, kind of adding to our sound.

No feedback was nice, full spread sound was nice, light to carry was nice. Only thing I noticed, was that they didn't have the 'punch' of a normal speaker system. I don't think it is a real drawback, but it didn't always feel as 'snappy' as conventional systems.

Although, we didn't have a real engineer setting the system up. The PA rig was owned by two of the members (not me) so I didn't get chance to set the things, or the board, up. Just plug in and play, pretty much.
