Anyone familiar with Edirol UA-25

Hi - I am having 'noise' problem with my edirol sound card .... if anyone else reading this has one of these cards, can you tell me whether you get VERY loud 'static' noise when you turn up the direct monitor fully, - even if the overall volume is only half turned up the noise is far too loud to make any serious recording. I dont know whether my card has developed a fault or what, but if someone else who has one of these units could advise, I would be very grateful for the help.

Did you buy it brand new or used? And have you checked the cable, maybe trying another cable will help. USB cables can go bad at times and cause this type of problem.

Also it could be driver related. Have you got the latest drivers downloaded and installed from the Edirol site?

Someone just solved a problem similar to thsi one with a Tascam US-122 I believe. Maybe they will come along shortly.
