Talk about gone= not getting IT
Its a little diffrent from my standard hotel stuff
id like you to read the lyrics first, and see if i did what you would doo....
lyrics
misery finds its own way, travlin all alone
nobody talks about it cause its too far from home
talk about gone
jesus walks the streets, suitcase in his hand
feelin like an empty shelf in a foriegn land
talk about gone
people push the needle to make the pain subside
lookin all around themselves but the pain is inside
talk about gone
when its all said and done
do you have anywhere to run
are there places you can go
some faces that you know
talk about gone
when the storm comes around and i cant find my soul
i start to drown myself in a drunken sorrow
talk about gone
i awake to the sound of life in a new light
so i start to drink to be rid of my sight
talk about gone

Jun 16, 2006 02:04 am Good one tony.
I like the vocal differences and I like the placement of the electric gtr in the mix. I wish i could get as good clean sounding recordings.
the only thing i really noticed was on the accoustic sound. I am a lover of hearing a good guitar string strumming sound but I found it just a little too much in the front and it detracted from the overal sound of the accoustic.
But hey what do i know i'm only a drummer.
keep 'em coming

Jun 16, 2006 08:12 am I recorded in a hotel room, pretty noisey. and the strummin, i was struggling with that. more tweakin i guess.
thanks for the listen
Jun 16, 2006 11:23 am the acoustic guitar sounds good, I think the pic-striking sound needs to be reduced a little (which might address kaos' concern).
the beginning sounds very good by the way, it's my favorite part

Jun 17, 2006 01:47 am Tony the more I listen the more I like it.
That accoustic sounds nice. But I think you have perhaps gone to far reducing the pic sound. bring some more of it back in for that natural feel.
But hey what do I kno I'm only a drummer

Jun 18, 2006 02:39 pm Tony D!
I like this one, very interesting the way you have things moved around in the mix. Some a bit extreme but the effect works sell.
I'm still torn to find a catagory to put you in. It really is a sound and style kind of all your own.
But I like the mix I just DL'd today, very kool.
