hi all

i have come into a bit of recording gear and anything beyond my mbox has me a bit stumped. there are a couple of things i am trying to do and i need some serious help.

1. is there a way of syncing pro tools le (digi 001) to a tascam da-88 that has the sy-88 sync board? can be with or without a unversal slave driver.

2. how do i sync old pro tools 111 rig using 882/20 units to a digidesign universal slave driver?

3. how do i hook up a tascam da-88 to a digidesign universal slave driver?

am i fooling myself or are these things a possibility with the older gear i am using.

thanks
neokin

Well first off here is a link to a google page with some links to Digidesign pdf files for the Salve Driver. www.google.com/search?q=D...:en-US:official
For the TAscam unit have a look here. www.silentway.com/88.html

I'm not sure you will be able to pull of syncing all of that stuff together to be honest. I'm not sure the Slave driver can generate timecode that will be understoof by all the varied hardware old and newe that you have.

I suggest dong some indepth research into what I have linked for you and then diggn deep into the manuals.
