I was wondering who might be using the Axon AX-100 (MK II) Guitar midi Interface with Cubase SX or other DAW's. How is the latency with Giga studio or other orchestral soft synths etc..? Thanks, Jrg

May 07, 2006 08:11 pm The Latency is all going to depend on your PC and the audio interface you use with it. The AX-100 is only and interface with which you will need to use the hex pickup suplied by either Roland or Terratec or another maker. It in turn once installed on the guitar will send the string info to the converter in the AX-100 and it in turn can either send the midi data to Cubase or whatever for you to process with whatever synth you wish. The AX-100 also has its own onboard sounds you can use. I am not a huge Terratec fan, but it looks like they have put some effort into this unit. I could not find any reviews on it though at all so that kind of worries me a bit.
As for using it with GigaStudio, the same rules apply for it as with Cubase, it is all in the power your PC and your audio interface have.
