This is my problem. I want to have every channel on my mixer to be seporatley controlled in Sonar 5 with it's respective channel. I can't seem to get it to work. I'm not sure how to go about making this happen. The soundcard is a 10in/10out with 2 XLR connections and 8 RCA connections. Please help.
I have an M-Audio Delta 1010LT soundcard with a EURORACK UB1832FX-PRO mixer.

Mar 07, 2006 09:58 pm Well that mixer will not be able to send out 8 seperate channels into Sonar, nor will it be able to be controleed by or control Sonar. The 1010LT actually only has 6 analog RCA outputs, the other 2 are s/pdif which is a digital i/o only. And together with the 6 channels on the RCA and the 2 XLR jacks that will give you 8 channels to go into Sonar.
Now you can use the Inserts on the first 6 channels of the mixer and use them as direct outputs going into the RCA jacks, then plug mics directly into the XLR connectors on the Delta. That would give you a direct path into Sonar if that is what youare after.

Mar 08, 2006 09:28 am actually, 6 inputs are RCA, 8 outputs are RCA, but Noize's got the idea. All the rest is good dope.
2 xlr on 1010lt + 6 mixer(insert to RCA) = 8 separate signals in sonar
If you had a standalone preamp that outputs digital, you could plug in one more signal into the spdif, for 9. The 10th would be midi.
